"Tour de France is a national event in France," says Dominique Geulin, owner of St. Honoré Boulangerie. "We added the 1st annual Bike Drive this year to help children to own a bike and participate in this healthy pastime."
Sipping Cider
Dominique Geulin makes sure everything at the bakery is authentic - right down to the baking oven and utensils. Brut Manoir Du Parc sparkling cider from the Cotentin region of Normandy is now available for a refreshing summertime beverage to pair with light salads. At St. Honoré, the cider is served cold in the traditional bolée or bowl
A Tasty Treat from Bordeaux
Canelet, a traditional treat from the Bordeaux region of France will be available this summer at St. Honoré. Invented in the 16th century by the nuns of the Annonciades convent, this sweet custard cake is baked in a copper tin heavily coated with melted beeswax. The beeswax hardens and gives the canelet the perfect crunchy crust. Canelet is made with whole milk, eggs, sugar and flour...and a touch of vanilla bean and rum.
Bastille Day at the Bakery
Like every good French citizen, Dominique and his family celebrate the fall of the Bastille every year on July 14th . This year the bakery will celebrate with live accordion music, festive decorations and children's activities.
