KL Design Group Launches Website for St. Honoré Boulangerie

Leading Portland design firm creates authentic design for French bakery – from interior to web site

PORTLAND, Oregon (October 18, 2004)— KL Design Group has designed the newly launched website for St. Honoré Boulangerie www.sainthonorebakery.com, an authentic French bakery in Portland, OR offering artisan breads, pastries and savory treats.

KL Design’s graphic designer, Patrick Craig created a web site design emphasizing the artistry of both the food and the interior space at St. Honoré. Craig collaborated with Portland-based photographer Basil Childers, who is a nationally recognized arts and culinary photographer. KL Design also created the bakery’s interior design and collateral materials including logo, signage, menu, bread packaging, and stationery.

“The bakery project was as interesting to research as it was to design,” says principal, Kyle Lynch. “We combined the aesthetics of authentic French bakeries with today’s modern conveniences.” Lynch and his team, along with St. Honoré owner, Dominique Geulin, sifted through old photographs of bakeries. They also incorporated Dominique’s memories of his family’s bakery in Normandy, France for just the right touches – from the flagstone floor and clay brick oven to the open-air kitchen and authentic bread cart in the entrance.
